Ordering

Once you have your category and item tables set up and the Receipt and label templates created you are ready for action. From the Control Centre push the Start button.

Push the New button to start a new order.

You can select a category push pushing any of the buttons in the Category column; the items in that category appear in the main body of the screen.

Pushing a button in the main body will select the item and the number 1 will appear at the top right of the button, and 1 of those items will be added to the current order. Pushing the same button again will make the number change to 2. As you push more and more buttons more items will be added to the current order. You can change to a different category by pushing another category button and add items from that category to the current order.

If you need to add a large number of items just hold down one of the item buttons for more than a second (or push the button while holding down the Control key) and a promt will appear, asking you to enter a quantity.

As items are added the number of items in the order so far is shown in the box labelled Items, and the price so far is shown in the box labelled Total.

 

 

At any point you can cancel the last item selected, or clear all items from the list by pushing the appropriate button.

 

What happens next depends entirely on the way in which you operate your business. It is not possible to cover every type of operation here, but the following examples illustrate a number of common scenarios.
