Adding a text element

From the EDIT menu choose ADD ELEMENT and select TEXT BLOCK from the list displayed.

The Mouse cursor changes to crossed wires. Position the cursor on the top left-hand label and, holding down the left mouse button draw a box by dragging the mouse down and to the right. Then release the left mouse button.

A dashed box outline is shown on the label image (and on all the other label images which are visible). This outline is where the text will be placed.

Click once within the outline in the top left hand label image with the left mouse button. It become Selected - a hatched box is drawn around it to show that it is selected.

Click once anywhere outside the selected element and it will be deselected and the hatched outline will disappear.

Now double-click within the dashed box outline in the top left-hand label image. The Text Editor dialog will appear.

Type in some text - perhaps your name and address, pushing the <Return> or <Enter> key at the end of each line.

When the text is complete push the OK button.

The text you have provided will appear on every label at the same relative position to where you have placed the text element on the first label.

Note that if you wish to have different text showing on each label then this is done using the data fields described later.
