Note, however, that backgrounds will not be visible for barcodes which do not have transparent backgrounds set in the barcode page. Also the presence of a visible background or border may prevent a barcode from being scanned correctly. These properties should be used only if you are aware of the colour and contrast requirements for barcode scanning and have facilities for testing printed barcodes.
