Connecting to an external database

dLabel includes the facility to read data from ADO/ODBC data sources, such as Microsoft Access, Excel, SQL Server and Oracle database, as well as simple text files.

The data from the external database is read into dLabel – from where it can be saved as a native dLabel database. Any changes made to the data once read from the ODBC data source are NOT reflected on the source – ie. The data source is treated as read only.

For connection details see the ADO/ODBC connection page.
