Control page

The Print control page allows the printers paper source (e.g. tray or manual feed), paper feed alignment (left, right or centred) and margin sizes to be specified. A number of these features may also be specified through the printer Windows Print Setup dialog. Also the  following features of dLabel’s printing may be specified by checking the relevant check box:

Duplicate identical pages - duplicate pages may be printed by downloading a single page to the printer and then instructing the printer to print multiple copies of that page. This feature is only available for printer which support multiple copy printing, and only when the pages to be printed are identical. The facility greatly speeds up the printing of pages containing large bitmap graphics. Of course it has no effect for pages which are NOT identical (eg. Pages containing sequence numbers).

Print all colours as black - when printing coloured screen images on a monochrome printer the colours may appear as shades of grey, but some colours may appear a white (i.e. not show up at all). Check this check box causes all screen colours to be printed in black.

Use Duplex printing - if the printer supports duplex printing (i.e. printing on both sides of the paper) then checking this check box enables this feature.

Rotate landscape - while some printers print landscape images by rotating the page clockwise through 90 degrees, other rotate the page anti-clockwise. If your landscape pages do not appear with the orientation you expected, checking this check box will reverse the direction of rotation.

The control page also allows printing to start (on the first printed page only) at a specified position on a sheet of labels. This allows partially used sheets of labels to be reused for printing labels.
