The Database Save page allows a dLabel database to be saved with a specified file name. Even if there is no data in the database you can specify a file name for saving the database, and this will be used in subsequent automatic saves.
To specify a file name for saving a database push the Save As button and enter the required name in the standard Windows Save dialog. Note that dLabel databases are saved using the extension .DLX.
If you are “using” a data file which is not a dLabel database then providing a file name by pushing the Save As button will cause dLabel to convert the data into dLabel’s format for saving in the new file.
If a data source is marked as read only, or if the current template does not allow database edits, then the Save As button will be greyed out and the database cannot be modified.
