Using data from a database

The contents of a database field may be specified as the source for an element displayed on a label image. So, for example, the content of a database field may be used as the source of text to be displayed in a text element.

Create a text element as described previously. Select the empty text element and then click on it with the right mouse button. The text property pages appear.

Choose the Source page and push the Database field radio button to indicate that the text is to be derived from a database field. Select the field required from the drop-down list of field names, then push the OK button.

The property pages close and the label images are redraw with the text element data derived from the specified field in the database.
