dPos is not an accounting program, and does not track invoices, purchases or payments on accounts. However, it can prepare invoices which itemise the contents of a sale and either save, copy or print the results.
The invoice template layout may be edited in much the same way as the receipt templat – except that it is assumed that the Invoice printer will be a page printer, rather than a continuous form receipt printer. Pushing the Invoice design button in the Control Centre displays the designer for the Invoice template.
As before the table of items may be added to the invoice template by adding the Table element from the Edit – Add Element menu. To insert the name and address for the account just add a Text block (from the Edit – Add Element menu) and make the text it contains %addr%; this will cause the customer’s Account name and address to be inserted at print time, so ensure that you make the text box large enough to hold the name and address lines.
A text block containing the string %title% may be used to place the words “Invoice” or “Credit Note” (for negative totals) on the form.

Invoices may be created at the point of sale (by pushing the Create invoice button when selecting the customer after the Invoice button has been pressed),

or may be created subsequently by scanning or entering the Sale code in the Invoice page.
