Restocking

When you add new items to your stock you can update the database by scanning the item or case barcodes of the products being added into the Restock form – accessible by pushing the Restock button on the Control Centre.

Stock levels may be increased by scanning the item’s barcode into the Restock form, pushing the Change Last Quantity button and entering the appropriate number of items, then pushing the Enter key (or scanning each item individually if you have plenty of spare time).

If you have specified a Case Quantity and a Case barcode in your Items table, then scanning the barcode on a case full of items will automatically insert the required quantity number, so if you push the Change Last Quantity button ensure that you enter the number of cases – not the number of individual items.

If you do scan case barcodes you should check that the quantity of items in the case is the same as that displayed in the message that appears when a case barcode is detected. Suppliers have been known to change the number of items in a case without changing the barcode, and dPos is unfortunately not supplied with second sight.

When all the items are entered you can save, copy or print the list, then push the “Commit to database” button to have the stock levels updated.
