Barcode enabled database system
dIndex-2k
Barcode enabled ODBC database front end for labelling, form printing, logging, ID checking, and entry-level Point of Sale use. Ideal for your shop, club, library or hire centre.

Labels/Forms may contain text, sequence numbers, dates, checkboxes, lines and pictures, plus a variety of shapes and OLE objects provided by other applications. Multiple labels/pages may be used for records.

dLSoft dIndex-2k uses ODBC to connect to data sources, such as MS Access databases and SQL Server.
- Barcode driver system for keyboard wedge barcode scanners, for copy, printing, locating, adding, date stamping or modifying records.
- Point of Sale system connects to two databases for generating invoices/delivery notes/picking list from a stock database, or three databases for invoice, customers and items. Barcodes may be used for most functions.
- In/Out unit suitable for checking in and out items hired or loaned.
- Built in label sizes for standard labels and forms plus easy design-your-own system.
- Text, barcode and some picture elements may be rotated or inverted. Text may be centred, aligned or justified.
- Date blocks may contain a replacement date which may be set by the user and printed in any Windows format.
- Batch printing simplifies large printing jobs.
- Record and label sequence numbering - an alphanumeric prefix plus an incrementing counter. Duplicates may be optionally sequenced.
- Design mode allows wide range of scale setting, alignment rulers, snap grid and multiple selection.
- May be used as keyboard-only. Includes all the features of dLabel-32.
- Full context-sensitive HELP system.
Barcode encoding and printing using EAN, UPC, ITF, Code-39, Code 128, Code 16k, Code 49, PDF 417, Aztec, Datamatrix, MaxiCode, RSS etc. - over 50 types including Royal Mail and PostNet postal barcodes. Code numbers may be fixed, sequential or extracted from the database records
Licensing
Available as a single computer product or as a multi-user version for installation on up to 10 PCs.
Note that for multi-user applications the multi-user licence version of dLSoft dIndex-2k is required.
System requirements
Windows 98/2000/XP. A keyboard-wedge barcode scanner is required for barcode scanning. ODBC database system (eg. MS Access, SQL Server, etc.). Not suitable for Windows Vista.
