Barcode Tools for Crystal Reports
dLSoft Barcode Tools for Crystal Reports provides the tools needed to include most common 1D barcodes within Crystal Reports XI, either as graphic images or as font-based barcodes. Font-based barcodes may also be included in reports created using earlier versions of Crystal Reports, and barcode graphic images may be included in packages created using the Crystal Reports Designer Component for VB6 included with Crystal Reports 8.5 and 9.
(A similar 2D product is available for most common 2D barcodes.)
The tools include:
- A local machine server for Windows 2000/XP/Vista for embedding picture barcodes in Crystal Reports XI or later.
- Server versions include servlets for IIS and Java for use on a remote machine or a company server
- A User Function Library (UFL) for creating font-base barcodes in Crystal Report 8 or later
- An OLE server for use with the Report Designer Component for VB6 supplied with Crystal Reports 8-9
- Samples reports are included for Crystal Reports 8.5, 9, X and XI

It is important to understand the fundamental difference between the use of the tools with Crystal Reports XI compared with earlier version. Distributing or remote viewing of barcode-containing reports based on versions of Crystal Reports earlier than version XI require that one or more of the barcode tools be available on the machine viewing the report, whereas with version XI barcode images may be embedded in the report and so do not require the presence of one of the barcode tools on the machine opening the report.
Barcode Tools for Crystal Reports supports most common 1D barcodes, including 2 of 5, 3 of 9, Australia Post, Codabar, Code 11, Code 39, Extended Code 39, Code 93, Extended Code 93, Code 128, Code B, Deutschen Post, DUN14, EAN- 8, EAN-13, EAN-14, GS1/EAN/UCC-128, Infomail Barcode A, ISBN, ISMN, ISSN, ITF-14, ITF-6, Interleaved 2 of 5, Italian Post 2/5, Italian Post 3/9, JAN, Korean Postal Authority, Matrix 2 of 5, MSI (Modified Plessey), OneCode, Plessey, PostNet & Planet, Royal Mail 4 State, SSCC, SICI/SISAC, Swiss Post, Telepen (numeric and ASCII), UCC14, UPC-A, UPC-E

Available as a single computer version licenced for single PC using Windows 2000/XP/Vista, or as a Server/multi-user version with servlets for IIS and Java and redistributable OLE sever, UFLs and fonts.
System requirements
Requires Microsoft Windows 2000/XP/Vista and Crystal Reports* 8.0 or later. Embedding image barcodes requires Crystal Reports XI or later and .NET Framework version 2.0. Server version requires Microsoft Windows 2000/XP/2003/Vista, Microsoft IIS 5.0 or later and the .NET Framework version 2.0 or later, or any web server capable of running Java servlets.
Note that some facilities may not be provided in the versions of Crystal Reports that are included with Microsoft Visual Studio editions.
