| Barcodes on Web pagesBarcodes can be included on web pages that are intended to be printed; It is possible to scan barcodes directly from a screen image, but only when the barcodes are displayed with a suitable size and resolution - which for web applications may be outside the control of the developer. Of course a barcode can be a fixed image on a web page - in which case dBarcode or Really Simple Barcodes can be used to create an image file that can be incorporated into a page. However, for barcodes which need to be create dynamically, either to respond to user input or to represent data from another source, the problem is more complex and is most commonly solved by having the server create the barcode images "on the fly". A barcode image can be created on the server and transmitted as a GIF, JPG or PNG picture to the browser. Barcode IMG Servers for IIS provide a versatile way of sending complete barcode images from IIS servers to web browsers and may be used from ASP or ASP.NET pages. The dBarcode.NET components are ideal for creating barcode images on ASP.NET pages using fully-managed code, and the "Barcodes Online" service is an example which uses ASP.NET running on our web server.
