Active Barcode Component
Testing installation

Installation of Active Barcode Component normally installs demo items in three subdirectories:
vb6 - a Visual Basic 6 demo program
delphi - a Delphi 5 demo program
msoffice - demo Word and Access items

Each sample may be accessed from the Axbarcode menu on the Windows Start button.

Both the vb6 demo (AXB1.EXE) and the Delphi demo (ABCPROJ.EXE) should work immediately after installation. These demos do not rely on either Visual Basic or Delphi being installed on the computer. However, both demos rely on the Windows object linking system being installed on the host computer.

For Windows NT, Service pack 4, these should be:
OLE32.DLL 15/10/98 v 4.0.1381.117
OLEAUT32.DLL 18/12/98 v 2.40.4268.1
or later

Also the Delphi demo uses a number of DLLs for its dialogs, buttons, etc. The versions we have for NT 4, Service pack 4 are as follows:

The Delphi demo program will load only if the computer has a printer defined as default. The physical presence of the printer is not required - but a printer driver is.
